Gratitude Meeting
Come one, come all to our Gratitude Meeting! Join us as we come together to share what we’re thankful for, surrounded by good company and warm treats. We’ll have pies, coffee, and speakers from various recovery groups, creating an uplifting space to celebrate gratitude. The gathering will be held at the Keystone Club, so bring yourself and your gratitude, and connect with some amazing people. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Hockey Outing - Bulls vs. Ice Bears
We’re returning to watch the bulls shove more pucks down people’s throats. Tickets are normally around $30, but with the size groups this event has been bringing we have been getting them for $20 or less. So….send $20 to either $bbaez01 or @dagnabbitb123 to reserve your spot. Last day to reserve your seat is the 13th before 5pm.
*If you would like to attend one of our events but don’t have the $ or need a ride, please reach out to the individual hosting the event. Arrangements more often than not can be made, given enough time.
*Several of our events are…well, active. By attending our events you agree that you are responsible for your own actions and safety, understand that accidents happen and release ARO/LGDS and all it’s members from any liability therein.
Drug Court Thanksgiving Luncheon and Graduation
This event is a volunteer opportunity to help our friends at the Jefferson County Drug Court. Information is posted on our FB page!

APC Ice Cream Social at Jeni’s
I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!
Grab your friends and join us on Sept. 10th, from 3pm to 6pm at Jeni's Ice Cream at Pepper Place for an Ice Cream Social!
During this time, 25% of purchases will be donated to APC! All you have to do is mention APC at the time of purchase.
So plan to come hang out with us and eat ice cream for a good cause!

Kickball and Kick Drugs
Join us for the Active Recovery Outreach Kickball and Kick Drugs event in partnership with Jefferson County Treatment Court on August 24th, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM at George Ward Park in Birmingham, AL. We invite vendors and sponsors to participate; registration closes on August 14th, 2024. Vendor instructions will be sent out to registered participants on August 17th. This free event is open to everyone, featuring a kickball tournament where the winning team will challenge the Treatment Court judge and staff. Participants must fill out a sign-up form and liability waiver, which are available on-site. Come support a great cause and enjoy!

Spades Tournament
We are gearing up for a Spades Tournament with the Keystone Club of Birmingham.
Back on Our Bowl Sh!T
That’s right, we back on our BOWL SH!T this Friday night in Vestavia @ 9pm. We would love for you all to join us! The price per person is $20 and should be paid up front, if possible. Skate Sesh
Let’s get together and skate, people! I have a couple of extra boards I can bring for those who don’t have one. I can give beginner lessons to anyone who wants to learn. Roller-skating and Pro scooters are welcome as well. Helmets are for rent at check-in if you feel you may need one. The park is free, so you don’t have to worry about that! I hope to see you guys there so we can do some skating!!
Game Night at the BRC!
